a glimpse of my sister's wedding

Steph had been asking me all the little things for her wedding (headache)...such as these beautiful flower clips for her, her bridesmaid and the flower girls (the misfits) by sibebo (thanks, Nel!!! They're beyond my expectations)....then Sewmanics did her screen printed tote bags (for out of towners), screen printed draw string pouches...her sash!!!!....and I have bow ties left to do!!! *fiuuuh*...her beautiful red cheongsam was done...I can't wait for the wedding...it's going to be in Duluth, MN (yeah...some Kampung about 3 hours away from Minneapolis...sigh...).

I've been wanting to order little sofas from Dreamesh :D....but you all know how small my apartment is...but, I couldn't help it anymore and bought 2! (the other one was a present for Misfit from tante Amesh). Aren't they just pretty?!!!!

My friend, Diana....won a partial scholarship in Italy, but she decide to turn it down....We both went to Lasalle's classes together and she's one very talented lady :).  She sells her kimono creations too :).  I love her new creations!  I do hope she'll grow to be an aspiring new designer.  Good luck in chasing your dream, Di!!!

sewmanics @ inacraft 2011

Been very very busy and stressed out....Today is the start of a 5 days inacraft event at JCC Senayan and this is the first time we participated at INAcraft as Sewing Sisters which comprise of dreamesh, berries booth and kinanti.  It's a HUGE handicraft fair and I don't think I've walked the whole JCC in one day...you'll surely find something interesting there :) do come and say hi to us :)

past bazaar

Finally!  I've found some time to put some pictures up.  It's been quite hectic!  The bazaar was definitely a success :)  Thank you for supporting Sewmanics!  We are currently renovating our website and I promise, we'll put some pictures of some our new children clothing :).  For now, you can always email me for personalized PJ, goody bags or Birthday presents :).  

We were very fortunate to be invited to the bazaar by our Photographer friend, Feity of Baby Bean Portraits.  She decorated the whole outdoor gazebo so prettily :).  She even gave free shots for the guests.  Thanks, Feit!  It was wonderful!  Can't wait for our next bazaar together ;).

fun fun fun @ jicc bazaar

I love bazaars...and I love it even more when I'm a vendor with a friend to share the booth with and other friends who also open their booths at the same bazaar :).  JICC bazaar was a lot of fun...thanks for all of your supports...those who came and chat, those who came and bought and those who came and browsed :) It was fun and having Chia there made it MUCH more fun :)...We shared the booth with Diana of Chasing My Dream ... her Kimono top is DIVINE!!! I forgot to take a picture of the kimono top I bought, but it's similar to the one she's wearing :D.  Chia made the MOST delicious Madeleines (I spelt the Madeleines wrong on the sticker...I know she's very pissed...being the perfectionist she is :p ow well).  I can't wait for our next bazaar...whenever that would be :)...for now, you can shop the Sewmanics collection at www.sewmanics.com ;)

sewmanics at jicc bazaar

We've been busy preparing for tomorrow's bazaar and goody bags order.  It's been very hectic yet fun :).  I don't think the baby shoes will be ready for tomorrow :( but they sure will be up on the web soon! I've also made two new name cards for Chia and I :D.  It is of course inspired by rifle paper co, one of my favorite paperie out there.  So these cards are my attempts to rifle paper co :).  Sure, I was jealous of Amesh's new cards too :p :)

Anyhowsss...here's the detail for tomorrow...come by if you have time :).  I believe a portion of the entrance fee will proceed to charity.

kridaya...

The weekend before last weekend, My Mom and I decided to go to the last day of Kridaya fair.  I didn't buy too much :)...but I did buy my favorite Tenun Imam, and I'd like to say sorry to the lovely owners...I messed up your booth by unfolding those beautiful fabrics you displayed :p.  I also bought a blue dress for Misfit, from Danar Hadi...I love the color and style and most importantly, the price was good :D.  One of my favorite store had a stall open too, I forgot what it's called, but they sell their batiks using natural color dyes...and hence, their batiks are bluish-indigo in color....I wanted to buy a shirt for my Mister, but I think they've sold a lot and not much left :(...The Batik horse statue was quite impressive...It's not pretty or anything, the eyes looked scary but I like the Batik patchwork idea on its body :).

I love the print on this brown hand drawn batik...I saw another lovely pink swan too...but I didn't take a picture of that one...this is quite pricey...about 420 USD each :(...and I absolutely adore that patchwork/leftover fabrics jacket!

around the mother and baby fair

I have to admit....I did not take enough pictures during the fair...but I did take some of these pictures...some of Indonesia's celebrity bloggers ;)....the talented Tara Amelz, Amesh of Dreamesh and their friends :)

Then, as I was accompanying my family ate their noodles, a nice man sitting next to us kindly asked me which booth was I at?  I said...My booth is the one all the way at the end...the one in the corner, together with Dreamesh Living...and Yudhis (the man's name) asked whether I know who did Sewmanics....me me me :D hehehehe...apparently, Yudhis, his wife and their adorable cute curly daughter are the owners of nenen shop!!! :)...it was definitely nice knowing the 3 of you in that brief moments of life :)

My friend, Cynthia was also at the fair...she's ultra talented...with her cute children clothing lines.  They're made from cute and adorable fabrics...and her designs are adorable.  You all should check her cute little online shop :)... lil pomme, I'm quite sure you'll find something that you like :)

mother and baby fair - day one and two

I must say, this bazaar experience was TOTALLY fun :).  I'm so lucky to have cool booth-mates :D...I think our items coordinate well together...our color combinations definitely blend well :D...and overall, I'm happy with how everything turned out :).  Meeting some of the people who walked in to our booth was a precious experience...the whole thing was exciting to me :).  I'm definitely looking forward to our next bazaar together, friends.... ;)

our space creation....

The story went like this...

We need something to make our 4x4 (m) booth looked nice.  So, at a moment's notice...my talented sister and her boyfriend, drew me wooden racks, which I asked the factory to make on Tuesday and it was done by Thursday :D (thank you, peeps...you guys are the best!).  So, came Thursday night...we went to Balai Kartini...it was definitely HOT and HUMID and STUFFY...but it was fun and our booth turned out A O K :D

Displaying the items...I love how Steph and David made places to hang dresses and the children's clothing.

sewmanics first bazaar

I've been so busy these past few weeks.  It all comes down tomorrow when I'll be loading and decorating our booth.  Come visit us at Mother and Baby Bazaar at Balai Kartini.  We'll be selling our children clothing.  So, if you're in Jakarta, come by and say Hello :).  I'll be at the booth on Friday (3-6pm), Saturday (9am-Noon) and Sunday (Noon-3pm).

After a lot of sewing for M's birthday, I just don't feel like sewing at all....I know the urge would certainly be back....soon :D...I hope...I've been reading breaking dawn...and when that ended, I just needed another new distraction...so I watched True Blood...and now when that ended...I don't know what to do...I LOVE TRUE BLOOD :)...what's not to like??? sexy men..check...good story...check hihihihihihi.

Anyways...I just want to show what I bought awhile ago....I bought two original paintings from my favorite painter, Matte Stephens.  I'm so in love with them :).  I can't wait to have my own place, where I'll be able to hang my precious paintings...
