penguins invasion

Last minute, Josie ordered penguin pouches for her son's first birthday...sorry, Jos...I didn't have time to make any other things...not even the penguin applique type of pouches....luckily I bought some penguin patterned fabric before...I was planning on making matching pyjamas for me and my man :).  I did manage to make a special drawstring for Ethan...a birthday gift from us to the little guy.  I hope the party is going to be a blast!

happy halloween!

I had a lot of fun preparing little things for our Halloween party yesterday.  I was looking for bowls big enough to hold candies...and decorated them with my knk-cut cards :D.  No, they're not originally designed by me...I actually bought the designs from Silhouette SD and traced over it...I think I should be able to replicate most of them next time for my KNK software.  I stayed up really late cutting these cute little creatures :D but I had so much fun!  I'm looking forward to our Christmas party next :D.  Chia and Ana did a marvelous job decorating the Halloween table and the children definitely had so much fun.  Misfit waited impatiently for the magic show...because she wanted a fish!  So fish, she got :).

Various things cut using knk :D

Cake pops, assorted chocolates with my decorated plate, chocco cinnamon rolls by Chia

the birthday party

Li'l Gracie's birthday was a success :).  We came very late and missed out a lot, because Big Misfit had to go to school first and I kinda had to finish off the little doll :D.  I helped Gracie's mom with the bunting flags...to cheer up the party :).  Good food...good company...good party :)...Cheers!

happy birthday my dearest baby

Yes...it was M's 3 years impromptu birthday bash last weekend :)  I wasn't going to celebrate it, but decided to throw her a little party at my parents' house.  I didn't have much time to prepare for a goody bag and saw this doggy bag in one of my Japanese books and decided to do that :).  With a lot of help from the housekeepers, we finished them juuuuust in time before the party.  It was just a simple birthday with family and friends...I prepared some painting activities, as well as bead jewelry section :).  A very talented face painter was there too (Chia's wonderful hubby) :D THANKS, JO!

li'l misfit's first birthday

This is long overdue...but I just wanted to show you what I made for my second misfit's 1st Birthday :).  Her birthday party theme was animal farm (because she doesn't seem to be interested in watching TV, unlike her sister...therefore I have no idea what characters to pick).  I made her birthday backdrop using felt fabrics :)...I asked my ever so talented cousin to draw me some animal characters :)...so, all Patrice and I did was cutting and pasting hehehehhee....it was a fun and hectic day.  I was going to make her goody bags...but errrr....didn't have enough time :)...I ended up ordering these goody bags...each goody bag is personalized with the child's name on the back...and on the other side is the animal farm theme.  As for the cake, it was sooo expensive if I ask them to make the characters out of sugars....I'm sure they'll be cute...but not worth the ridiculous price :)...So, I ended up buying one of these Happy Land Goosefeather Farm set from ELC (Early Learning Center) and that way, I get to keep the toys for misfits to play :).  Oh, and my sister in law and I also did some origami and paper cutting...we were in a world of our own...the children weren't impressed hahahahaha I guess they were too young :).  O, and btw...they spelled Misfit's name wrong, on the cake! Ow well...

goodie bags

The goodie bags were nightmares.  I asked for a specific design of Barney on it, but the store decided they knew better and added theseextra wordings! thus making the whole mug looked too crowded! so annoying! I didn't even ask them to do anything to the mug! I was too lazy to argue, though, so I just let it be.  And currently I am into making those little lunch box bags...they're so fun to make...I must say though, I did horribly at my sewing and I know people will notice...the heck...it was my first time and I managed to make these little bags...26 of them! then I put a thick yellow drawstring to finish them off...somehow I didn't take picture of the finished product...

a party for our little princess

I must say...I'm not a big fan of organizing any sorts of parties, though I like hosting small parties with close friends, I hate planning and organizing.  Nevertheless, I thought Emma should at least have a first birthday party.  I must say, though....parties nowadays are SO EXPENSIVE!!!  The clown...the game...the cake...the balloons!!I've kept everything to a minimum and hosted the party at the function hall of our apartment, not bad, actually.  Since the apartment has this new trampoline installment, I only added the fishing game for the little kids to enjoy.  In the end, thanks to my parents, aunties, and relatives, the party turned out ok :) though I must say I'm quite disappointed with the ugly barney clown and the scarry "godzilla" like mini barney cupcakes, in the end I just see past that and the kids were having so much fun and most importantly, Em was having thetime of her life...she was SO EXCITED and only get exhausted after it all ended and fell asleep when taken upstairs.  Thanks to our friends who came and celebrated it with us :)
