I am soooo into these little crochet motifs....I have so many things I want to put them into :) hehehehhehee...I even bought a few more crochet books...I love easy and quick projects and I finished this one in an hour-ish time :)....not bad, eh?? :D....now my mom begs me to make her half a top...it's quite cute, actually...she bought this top from Banana Republic, if I'm not mistaken...and the top has this crochet-like top, which is kinda cute...but will take me FOREVER to make :)...I'm still contemplating the idea of making it :p....maybe later...

lia goes back to school
well, not really...it's only an intensive course in basic pattern drafting at LaSalle College Jakarta :D...something I've been wanting to do since last year...it is done every Saturday for 6 weeks, a total of 30 hourse course (5 hours each class). I did my first skirt block (yayyyyy) and many skirt variations from a single block! Today, we're finishing the bodice block :) I am so excited...this is all very interesting to me...not easy, but interesting (much better than engineering courses! ha!)....I was peeking at another class yesterday, and looking at these girls finishing up their design on actual garments...made me feel so envious :) I wish I took fashion design then...they looked so cool...just like project runway hahahaha...but I don't regret my decisions in life and very happy at where I am now...doing basic pattern design :)...hopefully, I'll be able to do advanced pattern drafting :). At least looking at pattern magic books would hopefully not be so intimidating to me anymore :)...Here's to the hope of better sewing knowledge :)
That crazy Ironing lady is my very good crafty friend, Chia...who refuses to have a blog to display her wonderful creations :) and whom I drag to join this class :)
My equipments :)...lots and lots of odd shaped rulers :p...finally I am no longer scared of using them :)
The bodice I was telling you about...it will hopefully be finished by the end of today's class

tutorial: ms. lipsie the pocket girl
A happy valentine's gift and a Chinese New Year's gift to you all :). I though I'd share one of my pocket idea :)...not suggested for little girls....as they might get too scared of it hahahahahaha...I made this using my unwanted khakis from GAP, the hair was using my husband's unwanted pants from Express (these pants are like 10years++ by now). For the lining, I used some leftover Balinese batik and I just happen to find the pink ribbon :). This was supposed to be a goody bag prototype..but I think it's a little too creepy for children :p. Here is the link to the tutorial+pattern...ENJOY! And...PLEASE send me some pictures when you make your own version...I would so love to see them :)
Ms. Lipsie trying to eat up my Lens cover :)....yum yum yum....

happy belated 7th birthday, claire...
and sorry you have such a slack auntie :p....at first, I totally forgot it was my niece's birthday on the 25th last month...and then, when I've finally met her over the weekend, I suddenly remembered it was her birthday!!! So....to make up for my slack....I made you a reversible bag, a pencil case and a little purse for you to put your tissues, rick rack, etc :). and the winners are....
I asked misfit to pick the one piece of paper...and she picked number 25, which corresponds to Jennifer Ladd...and good thing she has an email, I'll be emailing her soon :)

The second piece of paper misfit picked was number 45!! The name is Pixie...there's no email address within the comment, instead a shopping webpage, so I will be emailing through the shopping FAQ and wait until Sunday before I decide another winning number if I don't get any replies :).

playing pay it forward
So, my blog friend, Trisha...told me to join this thing called Pay It Forward...so I thought...Why Not??? She told me, her friend has an opening...so I went to Adorable Originals to be hers...she has 2 more empty spots as of now :)....so, if you want, go ahead and sign up :)...Here are the rules....
1. You must have a blog to play.
2. The first three people to comment on this post agree to play Pay it Forward by posting on their blog and playing with the first three people that comment on their blog.
3. I agree to send, sometime withing 365 days, a gift (handmade) to those same three people who commented on this blog post. (That is the "playing" part!) The gift doesn't have to be crafty, so don't worry about that...mmm...I think I'm going to tweak this a bit...mine would either going to be handmade...or...handmade supplies :)...
Sounds like a lot of fun, right! It really is as easy as it sounds, go head and leave a comment. It is open internationally....I will most probably be sending the items some time by the end of February :).
Come on and join in the fun!

O...and on another note, I WON A GIVEAWAY!!! This truly is the first time in my life to win anything exciting :) and I am certainly EXCITED!!!!!....I won a pillow from Amesh of Dreamesh through made in indonesia :)..
